Bristol Regional Environmental Records Centre (BRERC) – covers the former county of Avon including the North Somerset and Bath and North-East Somerset administrative areas.

National Organisations

Association of Local Environmental Record Centre (ALERC) – represents the interests of Local Records Centres in the UK.

Biological Records Centre – the national centre in the UK for terrestrial and freshwater species recording (other than birds), working with the voluntary recording community.

National Federation for Biological Recording (NFBR) – the independent voice of biological recording in the UK; members include individual naturalists, and national recording groups.

National Biodiversity Network (NBN) – host an interactive database of species records from across the UK, submitted by a variety of organisations, such as recording schemes and record centres.
