Mayfly (Ephemeroptera) Reports

EPHEMEROPTERA ANNUAL REPORT 2009
Have you noticed any significant changes in the distribution of one or more species in the County? Most mayfly species have reduced considerably over the past 20 years and Wiltshire would seem to be the same.

Ephemeroptera 2008
"Rare and unusual species to Wiltshire were Southern Iron Blue (Ephemeroptera – Nigrobaetis niger) on the River Avon at Amesbury. Large Green Dun (Ephemeroptera - Ecdyonurus insignis) on the River Nadder at Burcombe. This is normally an upland river species. Autumn Dun (Ephemroptera – Ecdyonurus dispar) “White spot variant."
