Grid reference

To work out the national grid reference of your record, from for example a postcode, try using Get-A-Map online. If you’re not too sure what a grid reference is or need help working it out from a map, download this helpful guide

Location

We need a description of the location you sighted your record to ensure we can check the grid reference makes sense. Ideally including the name of the site or close landmark plus street name, village or town (and a postcode if in an urban area) e.g. NW corner of Front Field, Clattinger Farm, Minety.

Who identified the species?

If someone else identified the species or determined your identification e.g. a County Recorder, please give us their full name and contact details.

Reference used for identification

If you used a field guide or other ID tool, please tell us which.
